Our Vision

The vision of the Jal Shakti Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department Kashmir is to ensure the provision of safe and sustainable drinking water to all habitations, both rural and urban. This includes:

  • Water Supply Schemes: Planning and implementing schemes to extend drinking water facilities to all areas, including schools and other institutions.
  • Water Quality Monitoring: Establishing water quality testing labs at division and sub-division levels to ensure the water meets national standards.
  • Access to Safe Water: Ensuring every citizen has access to safe drinking water and can monitor its quality.

Objectives Of Jal Shakti PHE Kashmir

The intended purpose of Jal Shakti (PHE) Department Kashmir, is to ensure drinking water facility to all the habitations, Rural as well as Urban. The salient objectives and functions of Jal Shakti (PHE) Department, Kashmir are as under. To investigate, plan and implement water supply schemes to extend drinking water facility to Rural and Urban population including schools and other institutions. Besides the quantity of water as per the National norms, the quality of the water is also closely monitored by way of establishing drinking water quality testing labs at the division as well as sub-division level.
